ABOUT CHEF KARA
Chef Kara's culinary career began early on, inspired by deep family roots and their love and respect for quality and tradition.
After graduating from the International Culinary Center in New York City, Kara sought opportunities to further develop her own creativity in the kitchen by first working on a foodservice culinary team and then beginning her own catering business.
This, combined with a love of entertaining and travel, has allowed Kara to share her experiences with others through food.
The Food
Chef Kara is an expert at executing custom, elegant menus that are ideally suited for people who care most about food quality, flavor, presentation and an epicurean experience. People have asked, "What is your specialty?" and Chef Kara's answer is always, "I grew up with an Italian grandmother and a Lebanese Grandfather. And I was trained in the French Culinary Tradition. But my food is decidedly American which I consider to be the best of everything. It's all about the love in the food." Though her menus are mostly comprised of contemporary and reimagined American cuisine, natural ingredients and flavors from around the world are infused here and there to create menu items that will surprise and delight you and your guests.
Your Event
Over the years, Chef Kara has designed a vast array of menu items to satisfy most preferences. However, if there is something that you want to include in your event that you don't see, just ask - she is happy to craft a one-of-a-kind menu for your one-of-a-kind event. Chef Kara has menus for multiple types of service style including Plated, Family Style, Buffet and Cocktail Party.
